Cross the Intracoastal Waterway on the Royal Palm Bridge, or the “middle bridge,” onto Royal Palm Way, Named for the signature royal palm trees that line the street and you will have arrived in the heart of the island’s financial district. You will truly feel welcomed into paradise.
A few blocks from the bridge is South County Road, a major thoroughfare of Palm Beach that is dotted with unique shops offering exquisite, one-of-a-kind creations for the home, body and mind. Enjoy a stroll through this area and take in all of the architecture that makes Palm Beach an enviable destination.
Begin your walk at the SOCIETY OF THE FOURS ARTS (2 Four Arts Plaza)--near the Eastern side of the Royal Park Bridge on the northern side of Royal Palm Way--which is an architectural landmark and cultural center with a museum and an auditorium for concerts and their College on the Lake. The new gardens, designed by town resident Morgan Wheelock, are spectacular.

Continue south on Hibiscus and at the corner of Australian Avenue you’ll see THE BRAZILIAN COURT HOTEL (301 Australian Ave.), a beautiful historic hotel that opened in 1926 and became a haven for movie stars and aristocracy.
On the street there are several “Sears” box houses, charming bungalows that have left their mark on the island. At the end of Australian is the historic town square with the Memorial Fountain, Town Hall and Fire Rescue Station as well as a variety of retail stores and businesses.

Continue north on South County Road to see the splendor of The Episcopal Church of Bethesda-By-The-Sea. Circa 1927,the church features a Gothic architecture with a English-style cloister and the beautiful Cluett Memorial Garden.
